Support Group for Parents of Children with Significant Needs

  • In Sight Consultation 4380 South Syracuse Street Denver, CO, 80237 United States (map)

Our practices and parent workshops repeatedly remind us that the needs of parents of neurodiverse children and those with mental health issues are unique, urgent, and different from parents of neurotypical kids. In our experience parenting challenging kids can often lead to a loss of familial or community support and result in feelings of isolation and loneliness and fear. We frequently hear from parents that while therapy and coaching is very helpful, what they also need is to connect with other parents who are on a similar path.

This support group is designed to:

  • Create space for sharing the challenge of living with children with significant needs and the internal conflict this creates.

  • Find strength and connection in sharing experiences.

  • Understand that mental health conditions are no one's fault and can be traumatic experiences for the adult caregivers.

  • Support adult coping skills.

The Details:

  • 8 Monday Groups

  • 6:30pm to 8:00pm

  • $125 ($15 per 90-minute session)
